C.R. Reed Puppy Contract 1. Carol Reed, as breeder, represents the following: The dog is in good health and has been immunized with the following vaccinations: Parvo, Para influenza, Distemper, and Adenovirus 2. The fact that the puppy has been immunized does not guarantee immunity. It MUST have a series of vaccinations, with the final booster given between 4 and 5 months.
2. The puppy has been wormed with Pyrantel Pamoate on a regular schedule for round and hookworms. The puppy has been wormed with Panacur for tapeworms.
3. BUYER MUST TAKE THE PUPPY TO THEIR VETERINARIAN WITHIN 72 HOURS OF RECEIVING for the genetic health guarantee to be in effect. Injury beyond seller's control is not guaranteed. Every effort is made to ensure the puppy's health and well being. Seller is not responsible for any stress (puppies go through stress during moves to their new homes) or environmentally induced disorders such as , but not limited to, kennel cough, pneumonia, hypoglycemia, coccidiosis, allergies, parasites, mites, and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered in the guarantee. These conditions are all treatable and do not warrant an exchange in puppy. Every preventative effort has been made by seller (wormings, vaccinations, albon treatments, frontline plus) to guard against these types of problems.
A one year genetic health guarantee against genetic defects, that would make the puppy unsuitable for a family pet. Buyer understands that slight genetic defects are not life threatening and therefore not covering: umbilical hernia, inguinal hernia, cherry eye, undescended testicle, under bite or overbite.
SELLER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY VET BILLS OR EXPENSES. Buyer will provide seller with a veterinarian's statement stating cause of death or prognosis, to be examined by seller’s veterinarian. A 2nd opinion may be required by the breeder as well. If Justifiable by both vets- a puppy of equal value will be exchanged for defective puppy, when a puppy becomes available. All shipping cost is buyer's responsibility.
4. If, for any reason, during the pets lifetime, an owner needs to find a new home for a dog that I have sold them, I will assist or take the dog back, rather than see it placed in a shelter.
5. AKC registration forms and health record will be received to purchaser within 60 days.
6. Holding agreement: A $200 deposit will hold the puppy. The deposit will be applied to the purchase price of the puppy. No puppy will be shipped until the remaining balance is paid in full. DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE. I have read and understand these warranties and conditions, all of which I accept.
